Coach Jay began his
coaching career training youth on
Fort Lewis, WA and helping them excel at individual
basketball skills. He later helped students at area schools such as Lincoln, Lakes, Wilson,
Foss, Rainier
Beach,
Garfield, and Franklin. In 2002 Coach Jay began volunteering
with Lakes High School, assisting Coach David
McEachern. In 2007 he coached the Lakes Fall League team to a 14-1 season
winning the Emerald City Fall League Basketball Championship.
Coach Jay also assisted Lakes during the regular season which concluded in
Lakes placing 4th in the Washington State 3A
Basketball
State Championship. Jay
hails from Texas
and served in the military for four years. He is currently finishing his
Masters degree from the
University
of Washington.
